Extension of Long Term Residence Permit during the State of Emergency
Dear all,
I´m sending you instructions for the applying Long term residence permit for the purpose of scientific research.

You need your group leader´s approval to extend the employment contract. Please contact him.
Submit an application at least a few days before the expiration of the residence card.
You have to send an application and necessary documents by a registered letter to the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy „OAMP“ (address: MV – OAMP, dlouhodobý pobyt, Hněvkovského 65/30, 617 00 Brno-jih)
Along with the application for a long-term residence permit for the purpose of scientific research, you are obliged to submit:
- Fill in the green application (you can find it on the website WO)
- hosting agreement and a written commitment by the research organization – contact me, I will prepare it for you.
- travel document - passport
- a photograph – 1x pieces
-confirmation of accommodation – If you live at University dormitory - ask Iva Tůmová tumova@sci.muni.cz. If you live in a private flat - bring one original Accommodation contract in Czech with the landlord´s signature.
- (it isn´t necessary - upon request a document similar to an extract from the Penal Register record)
- green Health insurance card – take a copy or visit Company VZP and ask the officer for a statement of insurance period and send original confirmation to OAMP
- Confirmation of employment - contact me, I will prepare it for you.
- Scholarship – contact Iva Tůmová tumova@sci.muni.cz
- Confirmation of study – contact Iva Tůmová tumova@sci.muni.cz
- Contract of employment – you need a notarized copy
- buy in the Post Office „stamp“ Kolek in the Czech language: for 2.500 CZK in the Post Office
The post office has many branches in Brno. Sale of a revenue stamp. Info in Englisch here
The requirements for the application shall not be older than 180 days except for the travel document and the photograph of the foreign national if it corresponds to his/her actual appearance.
Present original documents or notarized copies.
A hosting agreement and a written commitment by the research organization – bring original documents to OAMP and keep a certified copy at home.
